2 more expressways to be in use in 2012

News - Cau Gie-Ninh Binh highway and part of the highway connecting Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)- Long Thanh – Dau Giay will be completed and put into use by the middle of 2012, the Vietnam Expressway Services Joint Stock Company (VEC)said in its recent report.
Surface clearance of the main road for the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay project has been completed by 98%. In 2012, the management board will disburse VND3,100 billion to complete package 1. Of which, package 1A (3.5km in district 9, HCMC) will be finished by July 2012 and the package 1B (viaduct) to be completed by December 2012.
The highway HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay of 55 km length connecting HCM City and Dong Nai Province. Currently, the VEC is constructing a part of it from District 2, HCMC to Long Thanh to connect to the project East-West Highway, Thu Thiem Bridge, Phu My Bridge.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport said it would allocate funds for the construction units to accelerate and complete the Cau Gie – Ninh Binh highway at the latest on June 30, 2012. Currently, 23 km of this highway was temporarily put into use to reduce the load on the 1A national highway.
The Cau Gie – Ninh Binh highway has a length of 50.3 km, connecting 1A national highway (in Hanoi) and highway No.10 (Nam Dinh province). The road was designed for speed of 100-120 km / hour. In phase 1, 4 lanes will be constructed and in phase 2 will expand to six lanes.
Total investment in phase 1 is VND8,974 billion, of which construction value is VND6,938 billion, clearance of VND489 billion and the interest of VND665.4 billion.
