Deputy PM urges maritime industry to speed up

Nowadays,
the sector has built up a system of seaports, fleets and maritime
services to meet the demands for sea-route transport and serve the
country’s socio-economic development and international integration.
Legal documents on maritime have been issued and many plans and
policies have been put into reality, especially in developing seaports
and maritime services, maintaining maritime safety and security, and
search and rescue work.
Highlighting the industry as a key-note economic sector and an important infrastructure field in the country’s socio-economic development in the process of international integration, Deputy PM Hải asked the sector to further promote the development of sea-route transport by building a powerful fleet, exploiting marine resources, and boosting shipping industry and other services.
