Energy development strategy until 2020 approved

UB.Laws/HCMC - To meet the energy demand for socio-economic development, the energy sector aims
to produce 47.5-49.5 million tonnes oil equivalent (TOE) by 2010, 100-110
million TOE in 2020 and 310-320 million TOE in 2050.
The target is set in the energy development strategy up to 2020 and vision to 2050, which has been approved by the Prime Ministry.
The document said that energy development has to go along with socio-economic development strategy during the industrialisation and modernisation process, international integration and the effective use of natural resources.-
