Final span of Hung Vuong bridge in place

News - The final span of the Hung Vuong bridge
spanning the Ba River in Phu Yen province was connected on August 16.
The bridge links the inner area of Tuy Hoa city
with the Nam Tuy Hoa – Vung Ro urban area, and is one of the province’s main
infrastructure constructions.
The construction of the bridge started in January
2006 with a total investment of VND 477 billion (US$25.7 million).
The bridge, 1,280 metres long and 18 metres wide,
has four lanes for motorised vehicles and two lanes for non-motorised vehicles.
The bridge is expected to be opened to traffic on
September 1 this year to welcome the 65th anniversary of the August Revolution
and National Day.
