News - Hoa Binh Corp says it has been appointed one of two main contractors for the second phase development of a hotel project named Courtyard by Marriott in Binh Thuan Province's Lagi Town, 150km north of HCM City.
The local construction firm says it has won a construction bid worth some 81 billion dong to develop sections including a hotel, sea view villas, restaurant, conference, and spa in the complex project. Meanwhile the other company named Mechanical Works and Construction Investment JSC No 9 (Coma 9) is offered a 37.5 billion dong contract to develop a bungalow section and other facilities in the project.
The Courtyard by Marriott hotel project, which got off ground over the weekend, will have 200 guest rooms and other facilities. When in place by 2012, it will be managed by the world leading hotel management firm Marriott International.
The hotel is part of a complex developed by Saigon-Ham Tan Tourism Corp, which has invested some 3,000 billion dong (over $150 million) to develop the project covering 200 hectares with different sections, including 350 villas, four resorts and an 18-hole golf course.
Hoa Binh is an experienced building contractor in the country, having developed big structures like Kumho Asiana, Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower, Sunrise City, Kenton Residences and the Crescent project in Phu My Hung in HCM City's District 7.
The construction firm in June was appointed as a contractor for four property projects including FLC Landmark Tower in the capital city of Hanoi, Novotel Song Han in the central coast city of Da Nang and a condo project in HCM City.
The corporation targets a revenue of 2.1 trillion dong and expected a profit of 55.6 billion dong for this year.
