Inauguration of Cu Bi Water Plant

News - In the morning of 15 January, Center for Clean Rural Water and Environment Sanitation of BR- VT inaugurated the Cu Bi Water Plant, Cu Bi commune, Chau Duc district. Mr. Tran Minh Sanh, Chairman of BR-VT People’s Committee attended.
The Cu Bi water supply system was started construction in May 2011 (invested by Center for Clean Rural Water and Environment Sanitation of BR- VT), with a total investment of more than VND26.1 billion, constructed by the Underground water II J.S.C during 240 days, exceed 60 days of the progress.
The Cu Bi water plant has a capacity of 1.000m3/day – night, meets 80% of the clean water needs of households in Cu Bi commune.
According to Tran Minh Sanh, the Cu Bi water plant project is a great significant project with the aim to implement the goal of bringing clean water to inhabitants of Cu Bi commune which is considered as a remote area of the province.
Therefore, in the forthcoming time, Center for Clean Rural Water and Environment Sanitation of BR- VT needs to continue management, operation and maintenance of activities in a sustainable manner, maximizes the design capacity of the project, ensure water quality standards, and continuous water supply.
At the same time, the provincial People’s Committee will continue to support and create favorable conditions for the Center to expand the water supply so as to accelerate the rate of rural households using source of clean water.
