Incentives to be given to investors in agricultural projects

Laws - Investors in agricultural projects eligible
for special preferential treatment shall be able to use the land free of charge
if it is allotted to them by the Government.
This is according to the Government Decree
61/2010/ND-CP on preferential policies to encourage enterprises to invest in
agriculture and rural areas which will take effect as of July 25, 2010.
Investors in agricultural projects eligible for
investment preferences or encouragement shall receive a 70 to 50% discount on
the land use rental price.
According to the Decree, the Government shall
exempt agricultural enterprises or cut 50-70% of their fees for land or surface
water leased up to a maximum 15 year.
Those enterprises shall be given a 50-100%
reduction in vocational training fees, 50-70% of advertisement costs, and
50-70% of expenditures for participating in trade fairs. In addition, they
shall pay lower costs, from 50% to 100% lower for access to information about
agricultural production.
