Inter-ministerial circular clarifies business, tax registrations

Laws - The Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Public Security jointly issued Circular No 05/2008/TTLT/BKH-BTC-BCA on July 29, 2008, establishing lines of authority for business registration, tax administration and police regarding enterprises established and operating pursuant to the Law on Enterprises.
Under the circular, business registration authorities would be responsible for issuing enterprise codes to enterprises applying for a business registration certificate, and the business registration certificate would be issued concurrently with the tax registration certificate.
