Kansai Economic Federation – Kankeiren visited Cai Mep – Thi Vai port

ME – In the afternoon of 24 November 2011, after the meeting with Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’s Committee, the Kansai Economic Federation paid a visit to Cai Mep – Thi Vai Port for a clearer sight of potentials and advantages in developing seaport and logistics of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.

Kansai is a dynamic economic region and the second large economic, industrial and service center of Japan, just behind Tokyo. Kansai is home for many world famous service and industrial manufacturing companies such as Panasonic, Sharp, Sanyo.

Kansai Economic Federation has visited and worked in Vietnam from 20 to 25 November 2011 for exchange and promotion of economic cooperation between Kansai and Vietnam. After its participation in the Fifth Vienam – Kansai Economic Dialogue Forum in Da Nang, the delegation visited Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

It is expected that the visit of Kansai Economic Federation to Ba Ria – Vung Tau will open new opportunities in cooperation between Kansai region and Ba Ria – Vung Tau province in particular and between Japan and Vietnam in general.
