KinderWorld to invest a world class Mixed Education Project in Da Nang

by Pegasus International UniCollege Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary
of KinderWorld Education Group (Singapore), the Pegasus Mixed Education,
Commercial and Residential Complex has its groundbreaking commenced on
the 26th November 2011 on the land area of 5.1 ha within Phu My An New
Urban Area, Da Nang City.
The project
comprises of three main investment categories: Education and Training
Facilities, Low-Rise Commercial and Residential Facilities, and
High-Rise Commercial and Residential Facilities.
The
Education and Training Facilities consist of a new campus of Singapore
International School (SIS) and Pegasus International UniCollege (PIU)
which will have a total investment capital of 12 million US Dollars. The
new campus of SIS will conform to KinderWorld’s “Super School” model
with state-of-the-art facilities accommodating up to 1,500 students.
The
new campus of SIS will offer international education programmes from
kindergarten to university foundation level. Students studying at the
current campus of SIS at 139 Le Loi, Da Nang are scheduled to be
transferred to this new campus when it is completed.
PIU
is a new training arm of KinderWorld Education Group in Vietnam. PIU
aims to provide an international standard of education for the young
generation in Da Nang and Central Provinces. PIU will offer training
programmes in the areas of Business and Commerce, Information and
Communications Technology, English Languages and Children Services.
The
highlight of PIU is the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Commercial
Cookery, which will provide competency-based training courses in the
area of commercial cookery and hospitality management. These training
courses are licenced, accredited and awarded by the Technical and
Further Education (TAFE), South Australia. Students of the School of
Hospitality, Tourism and Commercial Cookery will be provided with
industry attachment and work placement at domestic and overseas
restaurants and hotels during their course of study.
Upon graduation, students will be equipped with comprehensive industrial knowledge, internationally recognised qualifications and high level of readiness and relevance to meet real-life employment needs, and therefore, be able to access the best career opportunities both in Vietnam and globally.

of KinderWorld Education Group said “In addition to full time courses,
Pegasus International UniCollege will also offer other industry-specific
training programmes in order to support enterprises and industry to
develop and upgrade the skills and knowledge of their workforce.
These
training programmes are customized for individual enterprises and
designed based on advanced training models such as Recognition of Prior
Learning (RPL) and Enterprise Development programmes. The availability
of such training programmes will contribute to meeting increasing
demands for high quality manpower in Vietnam and the region as a
whole”.
Phase I of the Pegasus Mixed
Education, Commercial and Residential Complex, which focuses on
developing the Education and Training facilities for SIS and PIU is
scheduled to be completed and commence operations in the third quarter
of 2012. Other Commercial and Residential facilities will be developed
at later stages of the project.
