News - Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) is keen on achieving maximum benefits from its projects in China and Vietnam to meet KPC's economic objectives and strategies, all center on producing four million barrels per day (bpd), KPC's CEO said Sunday.
Farouk Al-Zanki was speaking to KUNA on the eve of a trip to China and Vietnam for talks with senior officials on oil projects in the two Asian countries.
He said his talks in China and Vietnam would focus on state-of-play of the projects and signing of contracts.
Technical and economic criteria "have certain conditions which cannot be changed," said Al-Zanki.
Although China and Vietnam will benefit from the two projects, added the CEO, "this will not prevent realization of Kuwait's interest." Al-Zanki said Kuwait would export 500,000 bpd for the two projects, 300,000 bpd for China and the rest for Vietnam.
