New regulation on construction standards

The Ministry of Construction issued Circular No 18/2010/TT-BXD on October
15,regulating the application of national technical rules, national standards,
basic standards and foreign construction standards for construction work in
Compulsory
national technical rules apply to construction activities, such as surveys,
planning and appraisal of construction projects. Additional standards may be
applied on a voluntary basis, as approved by the investment decision maker. The
circular takes effect December 15 and replaces Circular No 40/2009/TT-BXD.
