Phuoc Hoa irrigation project to ease water shortage

News - Phase 1 of Phuoc Hoa irrigation project was inaugurated on Dec. 10, aiming to solve the shortage of water in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh and Long An.
The project is divided into two phases with a total investment of 329.5 million USD funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), French Agency for Development (AFD), the government and contribution of farmers from concerned localities.
Once completed, the project is expected to supply a 1.3 million cu.m of water each day to Binh Duong, 900,000 cu.m to Ho Chi Minh City and between 300,000 – 400,000 cu.m to each of the three other target provinces.
