PM expects a strong cement industry

Working with Vicem this afternoon, the Government chief highlighted cement industry as a quickly developing sector which can make use the country’s available resources and have contributed to the development of construction, housing and transport.

Vicem, as a major player in this sector, was urged to continue its key role and dominance on the markets.

“ Vicem trademark must not only dominate the domestic market but also conquer the world”, said the PM. 

Leaders of Vicem revealed that the Corporation will equitize all its 24 subsidiaries by 2010 in order to focus on its major activities, especially producing cement, concrete, and unbaked building materials; professional technical training; logistic and transport services and others.
