Soft-skill training for students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology
ME/HCM – In order to provide consultancy and support of effective job hunting skills to last year students; help student self-practice and be self-provided necessary career skills, creating good pre-conditions for their integration in new environment and future career development, the Student Services and Career Center of HCMC University of Technology and BigBigJobs, Human Resource Network for Construction and Industries of Uni-Bros.Group coordinated to organize a workshop “Job hunting skills – Trial interview, real success” on 28 May 2011.

This practical activity was aimed at implementing the movement of “5-goods student”, creating good condition for student to obtain standard of “good skill” and introducing potential candidate to enterprises.

The cooperation between the Student Services and Career Center of HCMC University of Technology and BigBigJob achieved good results, bringing practical values to student. BigBigJobs wished to be a bridge supporting international and local recruiters to find high qualified and good character personnel and provide training on career skill, practical knowledge and support graduates so that they can have a good and stable job after graduation. With all its heart oriented to youth, future owners of the country, BigBigJobs would be the most reliable accompanier to help students to open door to their future with a firm career.

The program consisted of 2 sessions:
  • First Session: job hunting skill training; exchanging and sharing experience by human resource experts to be held on 28 May 2011.
  • Second Session: “Trial interview day” to be held at 8.00 am, Saturday, 4 June 2011
The program was attended by lecturers of HCMC University of Technology, human resource experts of large companies and almost 300 students from Civil Engineering, Electrical – Electronics Faculties in K2007.

Especially, the workshop “Job hunting skill – trial interview, real success” was participated by the speaker, Dr. Bui Van Vuong – Human Resource Director of PV Drilling. Dr. Vuong had 17 years of experience in Human Resources Management, 9 years of experience in training skills for students. In his presentation, he guided necessary skills in preparation of application, CV, Cover letter, response in an interview, provided some interview simulations and shared practical experiences. The organization board prepared attractive gifts to encourage students participating and putting questions positively in the presentation, that make it livelier.

In a booming time for internet and recruitment networks, not only young labors but high qualified labors also utilize available tools in recruitment website to create their application.
